Workplace Violence
Workplace violence is a priority issue for hospitals and health issues. The ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Association Hospitals Against Violence (HAV) initiative works with hospitals and health systems to address this issue.
Between 2019 and 2020, Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) in
California put in place a multifaceted workplace violence prevention plan to
protect its health care personnel from aggressive and violent behavior.
Hospitals and health systems continue working to stem incidents of workplace violence and enhance security. To support these efforts, AHA collaborated with the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety to support health care organizations’ and security leaders’ efforts.
