Access to Care in Vulnerable Communities

America’s hospitals appreciate the leadership of Chairman Brady and Representatives Tiberi and McDermott on behalf of the hospital community. We agree with their policy that the readmissions program needs to be adjusted to account for socioeconomic status.
Patients and communities across the country depend on the high-quality care that hospitals provide every day. The significant cuts proposed in today's budget would jeopardize hospitals' ability to keep the promise of maintaining access to vital health care services.
