Cleveland Clinic names new members to executive leadership team. Herbert Wiedemann, M.D., has been appointed as chief of staff; Edmund Sabanegh, M.D., has been appointed to the new role of hospital president, Main Campus; and James Young, M.D., has been appointed chief academic officer and will oversee Cleveland Clinic's education and research mission.

Ella Goss to lead Providence Health & Services Alaska. Effective March 12, Goss leads operations of Providence Alaska Medical Center - the state's largest hospital. She brings to the role more than 25 years of clinical and administrative experience, including 20 years at Providence.

Ryan Chandler named CEO of Northwest Texas Healthcare System. Chandler became CEO of Northwest Texas Healthcare System effective March 5. Most recently, he served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for Columbus (GA) Regional Health. 

Claudio Fort chosen as president and CEO of Rutland (VT) Regional Medical Center. Fort will succeed current president and CEO Tom Huebner, who is retiring at the end of March after a 28-year tenure at the hospital. Fort comes to Rutland Regional from North Country Health System in Newport, VT, where he served as CEO since 2008.

Adnan Munkarah, M.D. selected as new executive vice president & chief clinical officer at Henry Ford Health System. Munkarah will oversee the development and achievement of strategic goals for medical staff development and engagement, patient care services and programmatic services consistent with the overall strategic direction of the Detroit-based health system.

Ghazala Sharieff, M.D., appointed chief experience officer for Scripps Health. The long-time emergency medicine physician has been named to the newly-created position of corporate vice president and chief experience officer. She leads efforts to improve and maintain an exceptional patient experience at Scripps.
