The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Sept. 5 published a for the Transforming Episode Accountability Model. TEAM is a mandatory payment model that will bundle payment to acute care hospitals for five types of surgical episodes. The AHA June 10 urged CMS to make the model voluntary, however the mandatory model was finalized in the CY 2025 Inpatient Prospective Payment System Final Rule.
