The Healthcare Financial Management Association yesterday presented AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack with its during HFMA's annual conference in Las Vegas. The award, which is HFMA鈥檚 highest honor, recognizes Pollack for more than 40 years of executive leadership at AHA and his contributions to health care and the financing of health care services. 

鈥淩ick Pollack has guided multiple collaborative initiatives to ensure that hospitals can successfully navigate pressing issues like the COVID-19 pandemic and historic workforce challenges,鈥 said HFMA President and CEO C. Ann Jordan. 鈥淎mid these challenges, he has tirelessly pursued long-term goals, such as redefining the role of the hospital, all while steadily advocating for financial stability for the field.鈥 

While accepting the award, Pollack highlighted the work of the nation's hospital and health system workforce in addition to the AHA team. 

鈥淚t鈥檚 an honor to serve America鈥檚 hospitals and health systems, and the women and men who work there,鈥 Pollack said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a privilege to be part of their special mission of caring, and this recognition reflects the tremendous work of the entire AHA team.鈥
