AHA blog highlights CMS report showing hospitals are implementing price transparency policies and helping patients understand costs
A new blog from the AHA highlights a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services report that found that 70% of hospitals are in compliance with both parts of the Hospital Price Transparency Rule, up from 27% in 2021. The CMS data also showed 82% of hospitals are in compliance with at least one component of the rule. The AHA blog uses findings from CMS, which is the official arbiter of compliance with the transparency rules, to refute a recent Patient Rights Advocate report that 鈥渂latantly misconstrues, ignores, and mischaracterizes hospitals鈥 compliance with federal regulations.鈥 Read the full AHA blog.
