SAMHSA awards mental health crisis response grants to states, territories

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration last week awarded states and territories for community mental health crisis response. Eligible states and territories also can apply for up to $2 million in s from the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act to expand 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline services, which provide 24/7 access to trained counselors through a three-digit phone, text and chat line for individuals experiencing a suicide, mental health or substance use crisis.
