HHS issues memo to help health sector prevent forced labor in supply chainÂ
The Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Trafficking in Persons yesterday released to help health care administrators, procurement professionals and suppliers prevent and address forced labor concerns in supply chains through product procurement and labor contracting practices. The first in a series of planned HHS information briefs directed by the National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking, the memorandum explains how forced labor occurs in health care supply chains and describes relevant laws, regulations, policy guidance and resources.
