CDC: Certain conditions more common in children after COVID-19 infection

Children infected with COVID-19 are at higher risk afterwards for certain symptoms or conditions, according released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These include blood clots, heart conditions, kidney failure and type 1 diabetes.
鈥淢any of these conditions were rare or uncommon among children in this analysis, but even a small increase in these conditions is notable,鈥 CDC said. 鈥淐aregivers and health care professionals who are in contact with children aged 0-17 years need to be aware of the common symptoms and warning signs of post-COVID conditions.鈥
