The Congressional Social Determinants of Health Caucus yesterday held a briefing on “Addressing Food Insecurity and Nutrition as a SDOH.” Reps. Cheri Bustos, D-Ill., Tom Cole, R-Okla., G.K. Butterfield, D-N.C., Jim McGovern, D-Mass., and other participants voiced bipartisan support for addressing hunger issues for Americans. Participating on a panel on community-based efforts, Karlen Sandall, from at OSF HealthCare in Illinois, shared how the digital health platform connects patients in need with community-based organizations that can assist them.
