AHA elects new trustee to board

The AHA has elected to a vacancy on its Board of Trustees Kate Walsh, president and CEO of Boston Medical Center Health System. Walsh will serve a term effective immediately through 2024. She currently serves on AHA鈥檚 Strategic Leadership Group on Urban Hospital Sustainability and previously was a member of AHA鈥檚 Strategic Leadership Group on Provider-led Health Plans and Task Force on Ensuring Access in Vulnerable Communities. Before joining BMC in 2010, Walsh was executive vice president and chief operating officer for Brigham and Women鈥檚 Hospital, and previously held positions at Massachusetts General Hospital and several hospitals in New York City.
