ACIP recommends Moderna vaccine for children aged 6 and older

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention鈥檚 Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices today unanimously recommended Moderna鈥檚 COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 6-11 and adolescents aged 12-17. The FDA last week authorized the vaccine for these ages. If the CDC endorses ACIP鈥檚 recommendation, the Moderna vaccine would join the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine currently available for these age groups.
