Podcast: Acclaimed journalist documents the systemic and structural racism that impact women鈥檚 health

In AHA鈥檚 newest Advancing Health podcast, recorded for International Women鈥檚 Day and Women鈥檚 History Month, Priya Bathija, AHA鈥檚 vice president of strategic initiatives, talks to journalist and author Anushay Hossain about the health care experience of women, particularly women of color. Hossain discusses her book, 鈥淭he Pain Gap: How Sexism and Racism in Healthcare Kill Women,鈥 which documents her own trauma of giving birth, along with systemic and structural racism that impact women鈥檚 health.
