The AHA continues to spotlight the important work of rural hospitals tasked with caring for the nearly 60 million Americans who live in rural communities. The upcoming in Phoenix February 6-9 will bring together the top thinkers in rural health and health care nationwide for a discussion of the unique challenges, opportunities and strategies for navigating an ever-changing health care landscape. Registration is open for the conference.   
 
In addition, ahead of Nov. 18, National Rural Health Day, the AHA is developing a compendium of resources to highlight how rural hospitals have risen to the challenges facing the field and continued to innovate and thrive despite uncertain times.
