CMS releases FY 2022 inpatient rehabilitation facility PPS proposed rule
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today issued a brief for the inpatient rehabilitation facility prospective payment system for fiscal year 2022.
CMS proposes an increase in net payments of 1.8% ($160 million) relative to FY 2021 payments. The rule also requests policy solutions to help address the inequities in health outcomes in the United States. CMS proposes to adopt a measure assessing COVID-19 vaccination among health care personnel beginning in FY 2023.
