CMS updates guidance on Medicaid/CHIP coverage for COVID-19 vaccinations

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services yesterday for states and territories on Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program and Basic Health Program coverage and reimbursement for COVID-19 vaccinations.
The updates include additional information on vaccine administration reimbursement, including a streamlined review process for states to adjust reimbursement rates; and further clarification regarding managed care network adequacy and the phased distribution and administration of authorized COVID-19 vaccines.
