Other public health departments might benefit from implementing tools like Kentucky鈥檚 Indicator Monitoring Report, which combines multiple data elements to generate a daily COVID-19 status score to systematically assess the state鈥檚 mitigation, response and reopening efforts, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention .

鈥淒ata sources included in Kentucky鈥檚 IMR are publicly available, data are analyzed with familiar software, and a standardized method is used to compile the report, suggesting IMR might easily be adopted by other jurisdictions,鈥 CDC said.
