Battelle adds sites for no-cost N95 respirator decontamination
Battelle is adding nine processing sites for decontaminating compatible N95 and equivalent respirators for reuse by health care personnel, bringing the total states served to 15 and Washington, D.C.
Each site is able to reprocess up to 80,000 respirators per day; decontamination services, which are available at no charge to health care providers, was made possible via a .
A 2016 validated that the Battelle Critical Care Decontamination SystemTM technology successfully decontaminated N95 masks and that masks could withstand processing 20 times with no degradation of filtration performance.
