The Health Resources and Services Administration today states, territories and nonprofit organizations $351 million to provide voluntary home visiting services to pregnant women and parents with young children through its Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting Program. The program “helps parents and caregivers connect with services and resources and empowers families with the tools they need to thrive,” said HRSA Acting Administrator Tom Engels. The agency also awarded several states and organizations a total of $23 million for new programs to improve maternal health outcomes and reduce disparities through innovative and evidence-based strategies.
