CARA task force proposes updates to pain management best practices
The Pain Management Best Practices Inter-Agency Task Force recently proposed updates to best practices for managing chronic and acute pain, as required by the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act of 2016. 鈥淭his draft report offers a wide range of treatment modalities with a framework to allow for multidisciplinary, individualized patient-centered care,鈥 Vanila Singh, M.D., task force chair and chief medical officer for the Department of Health and Human Services鈥 Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health. 鈥淲e encourage members of the public to review the draft report and share their comments with us.鈥 Comments will be accepted through April 1.
