Total enrollment growth in Medicaid and the Children鈥檚 Health Insurance Program decreased 2.2 percent nationally between July 2017 and July 2018, including declines in 37 states and the District of Columbia, according to a new by the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission. The enrollment dip follows 1.3 and 1.6 percent growth in the prior two years. The annual report includes data on enrollment, spending, benefits and beneficiaries鈥 health, service use and access to care.
