The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services today issued a proposed  that would revise regulations setting forth the appeals process that Medicare beneficiaries, providers and suppliers must follow in order to appeal adverse determinations regarding claims for benefits under Medicare Parts A and B and prescription drug coverage under Part D. The agency said the changes are intended to streamline and clarify the appeals process and reduce administrative burdens.
