As part of the AHA鈥檚 Hospitals Against Violence initiative, the American Organization of Nurse Executives will host a Sept. 12 at 12 p.m. ET exploring the issue of human trafficking from the perspective of a mother of a survivor. Ingrid Johnson, R.N., manager of patient access at Atlantic Health System鈥檚 Overlook Medical Center in Summit, N.J., discusses the search for her teenage daughter, a victim of traffickers, and her family鈥檚 long journey to recovery. The webinar is the second in a two-part series addressing human trafficking. The first , moderated by Claire Zangerle, R.N., AHA board member and chief nurse executive at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, explores lessons learned by Dignity Health in implementing their human trafficking program.
