Patient Groups Urge Congress to Protect 340B Program

More than 60 patients groups yesterday urged Congress to protect the 340B drug savings program. 鈥淲e stand together to oppose any efforts to diminish the 340B program鈥檚 proven ability to help serve vulnerable patients and communities,鈥 the groups. 鈥340B is vital to the health care safety net as it enables trusted community providers to fulfill their missions. In many communities 鈥 particularly low-income rural and urban areas 鈥 safety net providers are the sole pathways to affordable health care.鈥
