The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services yesterday for states to plan and implement certain health insurance market reforms under the Affordable Care Act. The agency鈥檚 Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight expects to award a total of about $8.1 million in funds by June 5 for activities to help states 鈥渆nsure their laws, regulations and procedures are in line with the federal requirements, and enhance the states鈥 ability to effectively regulate their respective health insurance markets.鈥 To apply, states must submit letters of intent by Feb. 26.
