The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services last week the first 10-year extension of a Section 1115 Medicaid demonstration. The waiver will allow Mississippi to continue to provide Medicaid coverage for family planning services to eligible low-income women and men aged 13-44."This action shows our continuing commitment to giving states the flexibility they deserve to meet the unique needs of their people," CMS Administrator Seema Verma, who last November changes aimed at easing the Medicaid waiver review process, including fast-track approvals for certain 鈥渞outine or prior-approved proposals鈥 and approval for up to 10 years for waivers 鈥渟hown to be successful.鈥
