NJHA CEO to step down next July
New Jersey Hospital Association President and CEO Betsy Ryan today she will step down next July after nine years at the association’s helm. “For eight years, Betsy Ryan has been a tireless champion for New Jersey’s patients and hospitals,” said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack. “Under her leadership, hospitals in the state have advanced patient safety initiatives, improving quality of care for many. Betsy provided a compelling and unified voice for New Jersey hospitals. A strong advocate at the state and national levels, Betsy has been a great partner with the AHA and has earned the respect of her hospital association colleagues across America. Her work has made a positive difference in the health and well-being of the residents of the Garden State.” Ryan was the first woman to lead the 98-year-old association. The NJHA Board of Trustees will launch a search to fill the position.
