CDC Town Hall Tuesday on state efforts to tackle sepsis
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will host a Aug. 30 on state efforts to tackle sepsis, a life-threatening complication of infection that begins outside of the hospital for nearly 80% of patients. Speakers will include Kelly Court, chief quality officer for the Wisconsin Hospital Association; Marcus Friedrich, M.D., medical director for the New York State Department of Health Office of Quality and Patient Safety; and Jim O’Brien, M.D., vice president of quality and patient safety for OhioHealth’s Riverside Methodist Hospital.
