The Ohio Hospital Association, the nation’s first state-level hospital association, Friday its 100th anniversary by dedicating a historical marker at the site of its founding meeting in Sandusky. “OHA has been the united voice of Ohio’s hospitals for a century,” said OHA President and CEO Mike Abrams. “During that time we have been the leader of substantial reforms and advances in health care delivery and policy.” To help meet emerging needs moving forward, OHA recently launched the to evaluate and engage in change activities that lead and enable the pursuit of excellence in safety, quality and community health. Participating in Friday’s event, AHA Executive Vice President Rick Pollack said OHA “has a lot to be proud of because of what and who it represents – the hospitals that are a cornerstone of our society.” The AHA was founded in Cleveland in 1898.
