Wisconsin hospitals report $87 million savings from quality improvement
More than 100 hospitals have worked with the Wisconsin Hospital Association to improve care for more than 9,000 patients over the past three years, avoiding more than $87 million in health care costs, according to a released today by the Wisconsin Hospital Association. “Wisconsin hospitals are demonstrating measurable and sustained progress toward improving care by adopting best practices, sharing what they have learned and working in teams,” WHA Chief Quality Officer Kelly Court. “We still have work to do, but we have the improvement processes, determination and support to move us closer.” For specific results, including those associated with their work with the AHA’s Health Research & Educational Trust Hospital Engagement Network, see the WHA report.
