America鈥檚 hospitals have long helped connect consumers with coverage and are committed to continuing to do so as open enrollment gets underway Nov. 1 for 2017 coverage. It鈥檚 why we鈥檝e joined with the White House and the Department of Health and Human Services on a campaign to boost millennial sign-ups to the Health Insurance Marketplaces. We鈥檝e developed a brief animated that can help hospitals reach young adults where they are and deliver the message that they have affordable coverage options. Connecting more uninsured millennials to coverage will both benefit young Americans and strengthen the Marketplace risk pool. As it says in the video, it provides a backup plan to ensure they get and stay healthy. Please use the video as a PSA, on your website or social media, or in waiting rooms 鈥 anywhere that your hospital is connecting with the community. And please share the video with your community partners. You鈥檒l find it on our 鈥淕et Covered鈥 page, which also has links to an extensive collection of AHA, national and state-specific resources that can help you make this year鈥檚 enrollment effort your most successful yet.
