Coalition ad urges Congress to protect hospital care for seniors

The Coalition to Protect America鈥檚 Health Care, whose founding members include the AHA, Sunday will launch a national television ad, followed by digital ads and a social media push, urging Congress to reject proposals to reduce Medicare payments to hospitals.
鈥淭he federal government pays hospitals just 84% of the cost of caring for our seniors under Medicare,鈥 the ad notes. 鈥淣ow some in Congress are pushing for additional reductions to hospitals. Our seniors depend on the Medicare benefits they鈥檝e earned. Reductions to hospitals will make it harder for seniors to get the health care they deserve.鈥
