CMS issues home health proposed payment rule for CY 2022

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services June 29 issued its c for the home health prospective payment system. The proposed rule would increase net payments by 1.7% ($310 million); not alter the behavior offset amount implemented in CY 2020; expand the home health value-based purchasing pilot to a mandatory nationwide model; and remove three quality measures, while adding a new one. CMS will accept comments on this rule through Aug. 27
