CMS releases report on exchange enrollment, premiums
Almost 10.7 million people had health coverage through the federally facilitated or state-based exchanges in February, according to a released yesterday by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
That’s about 94% of consumers who selected a plan during open enrollment. The average total monthly premium for exchange coverage was $576.16, about $18 less than last year.
About 86% of 2020 enrollees received an advanced premium tax credit, which averaged $491.53, about $20 less than last year.
