The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last week released a new tool for estimating surges in demand for hospital-based services related to COVID-19. CDC said the () can help hospital administrators and public health officials 鈥減roduce estimates of the number of COVID-19 patients that need to be hospitalized, the number requiring ICU care, and the number requiring ventilator support.鈥
