Study: Cost of family coverage outpacing wages, inflation
A typical family of four with large employer health coverage spent $7,726 on premiums and cost sharing in 2018, according to an released this week by the Kaiser Family Foundation. That鈥檚 18% more than in 2013, outpacing the 8% increase in inflation and 12% increase in wages over the period, the authors said. The findings are based on data from a sample of commercial claims and KFF鈥檚 2018 Employer Health Benefits Survey.
