The AHA today named as its senior vice president for field engagement C. Douglas Shaw, currently chief operating and development officer for the association鈥檚 Health Forum subsidiary. In his new role, Shaw will engage member organizations to advance the work of the association and oversee outreach to institutional and professional membership group members. Before joining AHA, Shaw was vice president and general manager for the analytics business at McKesson Technology Solutions. He previously served as senior vice president and general manager for the hospital and employer business units at Truven Health Analytics, and before that in various informatics roles at Aetna and Dun & Bradstreet. 鈥淲e look forward to his creative leadership in helping us more effectively engage our members using new platforms and techniques,鈥 said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack.
